J&K Scientific’s microcentrifuge tubes are made of high-quality polypropylene (PP). The hinged lid with dual snap-lock allows for easy opening and closing with one hand, while the lock ensures a secure closure, to prevent accidental opening, evaporation, leakage, and spills to avoid contamination and degradation. The snap-lock system can be held in a “half lock” position, providing flexibility and ease of use during multiple reagent processing steps. These tubes are RNase, DNase and protease-free, and non-pyrogenic to prevent sample-surface denaturing interactions. Etched graduation marks every 1mL allow for accurate volume readings, while the rounded design allows for the creation of pellets that are more visible and easier to resuspend than those created using traditional conical centrifuge tubes. They are shipped in a large, sealed bag to prevent cross-contamination, and can be autoclaved to sterilize.
