UiO-66(Zr) is a metal-organic framework material formed from the inorganic metal unit Zr6O4(OH)4 and twelve terephthalic acid ligands. It has two pore cages, tetrahedral and octahedral. Due to the very strong interaction between Zr-O, the UiO-66 (Zr) material has good water stability and thermal stability. The structure can be stably maintained for a long time in a pH=1-11 solution. Benzene ring carbon and carboxylic acid carbon The bonds are broken at 540°C.

The traditional preparation method of UiO-66(Zr) requires heating, and a large amount of organic solvents are used during the synthesis process. The washing and activation processes are cumbersome, the production cost is high, and amplification is difficult.

Bailingwei teamed up with Professor Wu Yinan from Tongji University to transform the traditional synthesis method of metal-organic framework materials to achieve the preparation of UiO-66(Zr) under mild conditions. The production can be scaled up, with a larger proportion of product defects and stronger adsorption capacity.
