Description

General Description

The research group of Professor Xiaobing Zhang and Professor Lin Yuan at Hunan University has developed a novel fluorescent dye named YueLu dyes (YLs), which features high brightness, high photostability, and a large Stokes shift. The reactive intermediate of this dye, YL578-NHS, can be used for protein labeling. Furthermore, Halo-tag labeling probes developed based on this dye, namely YL578-Halo and 10-Halo, can be applied for high signal-to-noise ratio protein visualization and super-resolution imaging .

Product Advantages

  • Compared with conventional rhodamine dyes and probes, YueLu dyes and probes (YLs):
    Higher brightness (66,400 M⁻¹·cm⁻¹ vs 32,500 M⁻¹·cm⁻¹);
  • Larger Stokes shift (52 nm vs 27 nm);
  • Greater photostability (up to 5× more frames can be acquired before the fluorescence decreases to half of its initial intensity compared to conventional probes);
  • Probes based on this dye enable protein labeling and long-term super-resolution imaging.
