4,4’-Dibenzoic acid is one of the important monomers for the synthesis of general-purpose high-performance polymers and liquid crystal materials. However, this monomer has shortcomings such as long industrial synthesis route, heavy pollution, low selectivity, and poor biodegradability of the synthesized polymer.
