Precautionary Statements
J&K Scientific uses GHS (Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals) precautionary statements. Precautionary statements are assigned a unique alphanumeric code which consists of one letter and three numbers as follows:
- The letter "P" (for "precautionary statement")

One number designating the type of precautionary statement as follows:
"1" for general precautions
"2" for prevention precautions
"3" for response precautions
"4" for storage precautions
"5" for disposal precautions - Two numbers corresponding to the sequential numbering of precautionary statements.
