   Buffers maintain optimal pH for antigen-antibody binding and nucleic acid amplification reactions.
   Detergents lyse cells in samples to release internal target proteins, antigens, or nucleic acids (DNA/RNA) for detection.

   Detergents help lyse blood cells for hemoglobin or cell counting analysis in automated hematology analyzers.
